A thousand a day...261-265

I'm gonna cheat again...and it's only because I had a LOADED weekend and would rather use those photos in place of my otherwise quiet-life-in-Delaware photos. Please forgive me for my Thursday/Friday/Monday-that-are-actually-Saturday/Sunday photos!

Sunday, August 22
Day 2 of my parents' reunion...the picnic! What's not fair is I try to throw a football and end up breaking my finger. My mother, on the other hand, is a pro.

Saturday, August 21
I was the photographer at my Mom and Dad's 30th high school reunion and had an absolute blast wandering around taking photos all night. This is one of my favorite artsy shots of the DJ:

Since I can't shoot great stills and great video at the same time, I have decided to start pulling still images to use on the days I get to shoot video (unless I'm able to start multi-tasking)! Kind of cheating, I know. But here is a still from the video I shot for the "Anything Once" series with Justin Williams. This time, he learned how to play polo. I'm working on editing the video right now to run in two weeks.

A thousand a day...247

Today was an amazing day. I traveled about two hours down to Rehoboth and Lewes to shoot two assignments. First, I learned how to blow glass with Justin Williams for his bi-weekly feature "Anything Once"...where he'll try anything once! So far, he's taken surfing lessons, tried mushroom farming, motorcycle racing, massage therapy and so much more. It was an absolute blast.

Then, I headed ten minutes down the road to a West Rehoboth community to feature a woman who started an after school program to promote education and respect with the children in the area. Her story is one in a series called "25 Who Matter," which features other inspirational people around Delaware.

For my dinner break (before heading back to the center to get b-roll of the kids), I met up with Carolyn! We had the best pizza in the universe and ate on a bench overlooking the lovely beach.

A thousand a day...230-246: Delaware Edition

Allow me to preface this by saying I've been a very bad girl. But not intentionally. My last post was on a Sunday and I was packing up my Maryland life to leave for Delaware. Since then, I have lived without Internet for TWO WEEKS! But! I finally have my Internet (and cable, praise the Lord), and can once again be a good girl and post all my photos on time. A second reason I've been a bad girl: I haven't explored much. By the time I get back to my apartment, around 6:30 p.m., I'm just too tired to go anywhere to take cool photos. Thus, 90 percent of these photos are from around my apartment, which can be exciting, too, since it's a new part of my life...and I'm still decorating!
